QuattroPrint.co.uk Artwork Requirements:

• File formats:
• We accept files in the following formats : JPG, JPEG, TIFF, PDF, AI, PSD, EPS. However PDF & TIFF files are preferred.
• PDF Formats:
• (PDF/X-1a:2001, PDF/X-3:2002 lub PDF/ X-4:2008)
• Bleed:
• Bleed of 1mm must be allowed on all trimmed edges of the project. Brochures require a 3mm bleed
• Brochures:
• When preparing brochures and catalogues please do not generate spreads. Please layout pages in their intended order instead.
• File sizes:
• We require following file sizes:
   
  • A1 - 600mm x 846mm including 3mm bleeds (finished size: 594mm x 840mm)
  • A2 - 426mm x 600mm including 3mm bleeds (finished size: 420mm x 594mm)
  • A3 - 303mm x 426mm including 3mm bleeds (finished size: 297mm x 420mm)
  • A4 - 212mm x 299mm including 1mm bleeds (finished size: 210mm x 297mm)
  • A5 - 150mm x 212mm including 1mm bleeds (finished size: 148mm x 210mm)
  • A6 - 107mm x 150mm including 1mm bleeds (finished size: 105mm x 148mm)
  • DL - 100mm x 212mm including 1mm bleeds (finished size: 98mm x 210mm)
  • BC - 87mm x 57mm including 1mm bleeds (finished size: 85mm x 55mm)

• Resolution:
• Flyers, leaflets, brochures and business stationery require 300dpi for high quality prints and 150dpi for posters.
• Safety space:
• • For Leaflets, Flyers, etc. - we required 4mm safety space between text/objects and artwork edge (does not apply to the background image).
  • For Posters - we'd required minimum 7mm safety gap between text and artwork edge.
• Fonts:
• All fonts should be embedded or converted to curves (applies only to master/source files. Don't need to worry about it when sending flat bitmap images).
• Colours:
• CMYK colour only: Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, Key(black). We don't print Pantone or Hex colours; however if you sent us artwork using these colours or in RGB mode we'll convert it to CMYK palette using CMYK ISO Coated v2 300% ECI profile.
• TAC:
• Total Area Coverage (TAC) - combined value of CMYK for darkest area of an artwork can NOT exceed 300% for Coated Paper and 240% for Offset paper.
• Spot UV:
• 1. The graphic file must include an additional channel / layer / colour called "UV" and it must contain the elements that are to be coated.
• 2. These elements must be created in 100% of the colour (K or Pantone) and be aligned with other printed elements.
• 3. A project developed with vector graphics provides for the best quality of coating. If it is essential to use a bitmap, it must be created in 1-bit black and white format 2400dpi.
• 4. Due to the limitations of stamping technology, please avoid small parts. The thickness of the lines must not be less than 2 points, while the text size – not smaller than 14 points. The thickness of the line at every point of stamp element must be at least 0.4 mm. The permissible deviation is 0.5 mm.
• 5. The project must be saved as a PDF file, in PDF-X: 2004 standard where the UV coating must be placed either directly on the project page as an extra color / layer or on the next page, following the project, e.g. in the double-sided project UV coating should be placed on pages 2 and 4.
• Stamping:
• 1. The graphic file must include an additional layer called "STAMPING" and contain the elements that are to be stamped.
• 2. These elements must be created in 100% of the colour (K) and be aligned with other printed elements.
• 3. The maximum size of a stamped element for products available online is 40cm2 (element inscribed in the rectangle's surface of 40cm2 maximum). If it is necessary to prepare a larger stamp area, this requires an individual quote. .
• 4. Due to the limitations of stamping technology, please avoid small parts. The thickness of the lines must not be less than 2 points, while the text size – not smaller than 14 points. The thickness of the line at every point of stamp element must be at least 0.4 mm. The permissible deviation is 0.5 mm.
• 5. The project must be saved as a PDF file, in PDF-X: 2004 standard where the STAMPING must be placed as the next page of the project.
• Notice:
• All template lines and information must be removed from the art work before it is submitted.
  When sending us master, source files please make sure that all images, graphics and fonts used in the construction of the document are included in a collect for output before sending to us.
